How bad is my vision and do I need to wear gles?

The prescription they gave me at the eye doctor says R SPH -2.00 CYL -.25 and L SPH -1.75 CYL -.50. How bad is this? Do I actually need to wear gles because I really don't want to I don't like the way I look with them.
