I got a speeding ticket... does my insurance company have to know?

even if you do go to driving school it will still show up and count. i work at an insurance agency. and the insurance company will find out. between the dmv and insurance company information is always being updated, meaning that the insurance company will find out about your ticket. try to still go with the discount. the insurance company will cancel your discount when necessary. im not sure how your insurance company works, but if you are a good student with a 3.0 or higher you should receive an enormous discount! just know that even if you do not say anything to your insurance company they will still find out. take a defensive driving course (Check with your insurance company first), but that usually can give you a discount too-dont get defensive driving mixed up with driving school, they are seperate things!
