I just bought my first 1911 ! little help please?

While I really love my Colt and Browning, there is no law that says you have to spend a ton of money to have a good gun. All the fancy mods are just a money pit really. I have found some mods that I always do, but they are ones I prefer: high rise beaver tail, because I have very large hands, extended thumb safety, so I can find it in the dark, ambi mag release, because you never know which hand you may be using, and Hogue grips because I like the rubber with finger grooves. I choose my mods based on preference not on look or whatever. Make the gun feel good in your hands and function like an extension of your hand and all will be good.
