Ok...so there was this movie i watched as a little kid...it was sorta about punks can someone name it?

Ok so the movie in my head is a little sketchy i remember that it was about some British family and the about 20 year old kid lived with his parents. i remember this one secne where its crismas and they pop crackers. another one is when the kid goes dancing with his friend and his Friend ends up dacing with his mom at the club. then the kid finds some punks or something and he gets his ears pirced in his kitchen and goes to the store and buy a dog choker....well can any one help me?
