Spanish condolences?

I know spanish, but still struggle with knowing the "right" thing to say in certain situations. A friend's relative just ped away after a battle with cancer. Besides "Lo siento", and "Les acompa�o en su dolor", what are some appropriate things to say in spanish? PLEASE NO BABELFISH TRANSLATIONS. I am not looking for translations of english but what people ACTUALLY say in spanish culture. Would it be appropriate to say something like, "Tengo confianza que esta en un lugar mejor", or "Ya no sufre", something like that? What else?
